Midterm Part 1

Sakeeda Freeman
Introduction to Public Relations
Mid-term Project
PART ONE

After carefully reviewing and studying the CRC website the two publics I chose were the student’s at all five CRC colleges and universities and faculty members who advise students. On the website the areas that would appeal to students is the section dedicated to access the students to courses and different resources. It’s beneficial because it allows students to be aware of wonderful opportunities at their institution and others involved in the cooperating Raleigh colleges website. It is appealing to faculty members who advise students because there is an area on the website that has access to resources for faculty members as well. The site offers opportunities such as faculty development and projects that they can work on that can benefit them many ways

On the CRC website students attending all five CRC colleges and universities are who I feel will benefit the most from the site. Two effective ways to market this website to all the students would be a social network like Face book and creating a special social event where all students can attend. Since Face book is one of the most popular social networks college students actively participate in and invest a lot of time into, CRC should create a page where students can be updated through face book about upcoming opportunities and events. With all the people that can be reached on even one individuals page the promoting easy to spread across the world of face book. Having such a page for this new website would be an excellent way to show and explain the services available on the website to the students on each campus.
The students who look on the page to learn what the cooperation is will learn that this could be very beneficial to them with classes and also the chance to socialize with students who share some of the same goals for the future. Some may even want to take a course at institution to gain experience and see how they focus in a different setting. The special social event created would give the students a chance to meet and share their opinions on the website as well as learn more about the benefits offered. With all representatives from each school present, students will be informed of what each school has to offer and meet the people behind the scenes.
The positive outlook on each school would be a great advantage to high school students interested in attending CRC colleges and universities. Also I think it would be beneficial to make the website accessible to the high school students who are interested in attending any of the five schools so they can have a jump start. This will help more students get involved as they enter their freshman year. This website has tons of very important information and opportunity, marketing is very essential for CRC.
